What to do in and around Ticehurst

Head into Tunbridge Wells for a spot of brunch and shopping, or towards the coast for a day of seaside fun?

Tunbridge Wells is well known for its brunch spots along the High Street and The Pantiles, including well known establishments, such as The Ivy and Gail’s, amongst independent venues, Juliets Café, The Cake Shed and Hatton’s to name a few.

Alternatively, Hastings in the opposite direction offers a host of activities for all the family, including arcades, mini golf, shopping, and lots more. What better way to end the day than with fish and chips on the beach!

What does your Sunday look like, café for lunch or a classic roast dinner?

Enjoy an early lunch at the Greedy Goat Café, strolling distance from Hillbury Fields, offering good food in a relaxed setting. Don’t forget dessert, we suggest the brownie!

The Bell Inn is a popular spot for Sunday roast, the 19th century pub and hotel is prominently located on the village high street. A cosy environment in the winter with exposed beams and comfortable seating, whilst in the summer months you can make the most of the leafy garden.

A round of golf or a relaxing trip to the spa?

Golfers can enjoy Dale Hill Golf Club, less than a mile from Hillbury Fields, the hotel’s two golf courses include one designed by 1991 Masters-winner Ian Woosnam.

For those who prefer a different kind of relaxation, you can visit the Wild Iris Spa in Flimwell. The woodland spa is a unique spa using only natural and pure holistic therapies in a way which very few spas do.
