Having re-evaluated her housing preferences throughout the pandemic, financial consultant Laura is delighted to have recently upsized to a stunning three-bedroom home at Fernham Home’s Rosewood Place in Matfield, Kent. Fulfilling her wish to live in a more rural environment and securing a home with more space on offer, Laura moved from her two-bedroom semi-detached home a short drive away in Pembury to a new three bedroom detached property at Fernham Homes’ picturesque Rosewood Place in May this year.

Initially, Laura looked to purchase the property off plan having viewed the exceptional show home at Rosewood Place, but she missed her chance to secure the home she had her eye on. However, after it came back on to the market she saw it as a chance of fate and secured the property immediately. Laura comments: ‘’I had been house hunting for around a year and a half, but as soon as I viewed the three-bedroom show home at Rosewood Place I knew it was the perfect choice to suit my needs. Its location also ticks all the boxes for me as I can benefit from living in a quaint rural area without sacrificing on quick and easy transport links into the city necessary for my work commute.’’

Laura has been enjoying the new space on offer in home, with its spacious garden, driveway and the extensive amount of green space she is now able to access. She notes: ‘’I absolutely love the natural open spaces in and around Matfield which are now on my doorstep. This was something I realised I really yearned for throughout the lockdowns, and I now love spending far more time outdoors, especially on Matfield Green which is so picturesque it feels like the set of Pride and Prejudice!’’

With much more space to enjoy at home, Laura is also able to host friends and family in her spare bedrooms and make use of the homes’ kitchen and dining area. She expands: ‘As I’m a keen cook something I really appreciate about my new home is the kitchen and dining area which allows me to cook and enjoy the company of my guests whilst having direct access to the garden. In my old property, I did not even have the space for a dining table, whereas now I am proud to invite guests round for dinner! My garden is also a fabulous entertaining space, and I have discovered a newfound hobby in gardening as I would like my outdoor space to blend seamlessly into the idyllic natural spaces surrounding Rosewood Place.’’

Throughout her home-buying journey, Laura was kept informed every step of the way by the Rosewood Place Sales Team. Laura has been living in her new home at Rosewood Place for just three months and has already put her stamp on the home thanks to her keen interest in interior styling. She comments: ‘’I actually finished all my interior decorating within the first four weeks of moving in. I was so excited to have secured such a fantastic home that I really wanted to do it justice with the interior design. I think that is also why I was so drawn to buying a new build property, as it has given me the opportunity to really make a space my own. I think the fact that no one else has made memories in this home before me is really something special.’’
